I Want to Soak up the Sun!

Welcome to the hill country! Austin is a gorgeous city full of outdoor adventures just waiting to be explored. From the breath taking hillside to the mouth-dropping lakes, Austin is the place see and experience it all.
Looking to have a little fun in the sun? Zilker Park is just the ticket. Zilker park is home to the amazing Barton Springs Pool, which is great for a full day of swimming and tanning at the mere price of $3 per adult and $1 for senior citizens and children. The springs are 100 percent natural and span across a total of 3 acres, making it the 4th largest natural springs in the state. The pool is complete with a diving board and lifeguard to ensure you have the best time possible!
Town Lake is the perfect place for an outdoor work out; whether it be a quick jog, long walk with friends, or a hard core bike ride, Town Lake's 3 mile trail makes it ideal for them all. Along the trail are frequent water stations, so there is no need to worry about dehydration or providing your own water bottle. Town Lake is not only a good place to get in a satisfying outdoor workout, it is also great for lake activities such as kayaking, canoeing, and paddle surfing (all of which are relatively inexpensive). If that isn't enough, Town Lake is dog-friendly so it makes for a great place to bring your dog!
If you are an outdoor enthusiast and love a challenge, then leave it to the Greenbelt to be your challenger. This eroded riverbed makes for the ultimate outdoor experience. The Barton Creek Greenbelt is nearly 8 miles long and filled with sheer cliff walls, lush vegetation, and numerous swimming areas. So whether you are looking for an outdoor rock climbing adventure, a beautiful sight to see, or just a trail to take your dog on, the Greenbelt provides you with a fantastic range of options.

One would have to be crazy to stay indoors when they have all of these great outdoor activities to choose from! Get out there and get active while getting to know your city and all of the stunning nature it has to offer. Remember, Keep Austin Weird!
